Logistical Planning & Rider for when band Drives
(FOR EVENTS IN WHICH THE BAND IS FLOWN, PLEASE CONTACT OUR PRODUCTION COORDINATOR FOR OUR MORE EXTENSIVE RIDER)
We would like to thank you for engaging Marquise to perform for your special event. We have specific requests that will help ensure the most successful party we can offer.
Please provide this sheet, and discuss the issues, well in advance with your facility coordinator. If you have a question, in most cases your event planner can provide you with an immediate answer otherwise the band leader will be available for assistance. ( Note: This information only applies to engagements that the band can drive to. For fly-away events, a more extensive rider will apply.)
Equipment Set-Up
Our sound/lights crew would like to arrive at least three hours prior to the band's start time. It is important that the stage-riser be completely set-up by the time our crew arrives. If for some reason less time is available please contact your event planner as soon as possible. The band and sound/light crew will need approximately one and a half hours to break-down the equipment and depart.
Staging
We request that the stage-riser be at least 12 X 24 feet with a step leading up to it. The dance floor should be located directly in front of the stage and guest tables should be located at least five feet from the front corners of the band stage. If any tables are near the band speakers we recommend younger guests be seated there. Also, we request our sound engineer be located and have a 30" X 6' table next to the band riser at stage left.
Power
We will need at least 60 amp distributed power at the stage. (Often, outlets located on a single wall will be on the same electrical circuit. In this case three 20 amp/120 volt dedicated circuits, not wall outlets, are needed. Many facilities can provide a power distribution box, or taped down extension cords to other wall outlets, with advance notice.) If lighting is contracted, power requirements may change.
Volume
We are very sensitive to concerns about sound volume. The amplification equipment we use is state of the art and allows for complete control of individual sound levels. We constantly monitor our overall volume and are receptive to requests by the client-in-charge to increase or decrease the amount of sound volume.
Band Clothing Changing Area
It would be helpful for the band to have a private space located nearby in which to change outfits before, during, and after our performance. If your event is taking place at a hotel it is sometimes possible to secure an unused conference room. If a private space is unavailable we will plan accordingly.
Cocktail Hours And Special Ceremonies
The members of Marquise are pleased to provide additional music such as solo piano, guitar, sax, vocals, and various combinations such as a duo, trio, etc. Please feel free to consult with your event planner for pricing and logistical information.
Please contact your event planner at least two weeks prior to your engagement if you or your venue has any questions or concerns. We always try to be as flexible as possible if any of our requests are unable to be met. Marquise wants to make your event a memorable one. Providing this information to you and your facility coordinator will help to ensure this.
